Defensive barrier positions add an extra layer of physical security to nuclear power plants, industrial complexes, military bases and other areas requiring defensive barriers.
Defensive Armor Shelter
The concept of the Defensive Armor Shelter is to provide a ballistic steel booth where security officers can be deployed to return fire against a physical assault. Two gunports at each side including the door permit one guard to stand and one to kneel for a double defensive position. The roof is pitched to insure that grenades and other explosives will roll off. The door cannot be opened once securely bolted from the inside. These shelters are fabricated exclusively from Omega Armor, an innovative ballistic steel, successfully independently tested at H. P. White Laboratory to meet commercial ballistic standards.
Protective Door Industries ballistic shelters will afford the utmost protection and performance in the event of a security threat. |

Ballistic Barriers
Another type of defensive position, this steel barrier is primarily used at interior location when an assault has overcome the exterior security measures. The barrier is a hinged panel assembly that can be anchored adjacent to any wall and swings out in the event of an attack. Security personnel can return fire through the gunport opening. When not in use, the barrier swings back to store against the wall and out of the way. |
Custom Ballistic Enclosures
Protective Door Industries has built other custom ballistic booths and barriers at Nuclear Power Stations. Forward your specifications and PDI will design and manufacture a ballistic enclosure to fit your security requirements. |
